Due to sheer laziness and Christmas apathy we are going to friends for a BBQ, all we have to do is supply the home grown salad, crackers and some of that lush Killinchy Gold & Whittakers ice cream.

Nothing.
I am invited to a Christmas Day breakfast, American style & then onto another friends later in the day to partake of a trad Christmas dinner.

That's the way to go BEVS. Let someone else do all the work

as I'm working we're doing Christmas day on Christmas eve - we're having stuffed turkey, roast parsnips potatoes and kumera, mash potatoes, steamed greens and gravy - sticky caramel pudding for desert with custard. We are going to a bbq at a friends on the day (after work and I may be called away as I'm on-call)

Baked and roasted potatoes
Lots of sparkling wine
Cider (I will remember this year Hugh)
Best eaten with good company of close family/friends

Probably pizza out the freezer or a microwave meal at work as I'm on call and very likely to be called out the way its going.

Start the day with bucks fizz, I will make scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with toast for breakfast.
Home made sausage rolls for elevenses.
Lunch will be Roast chicken, sausage rolled in bacon, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, stuffing, cranberry sauce, bread sauce, gravy. Served with NZ wine. Dessert is home made sherry trifle.
Afternoon - board games and chocolate. More like snoozing in front of the t.v. but hey!
Evening will be cheese board and crackers, pate, chutney, cold chicken, cold ham, home made sausage rolls, crisps, peanuts, mince pies, Christmas cake.
BTW - just where do you get sprouts this time of year ? I could have got some parsnips but they are so ropey in the summer it's hardly worth bothering.
