Not that much to add! Only extras I could suggest are Mona Vale, Halswell Quarry and perhaps a jaunt along the summit road. If your brother likes wilderness a trip through Molesworth Station wouldn't come amiss! I just wish I could re-visit all those places that have already been suggested.
