What to expect when moving to Christchurch
 

Hi im a carpenter been offered a job repairing homes in christchurch after all the earthquakes . Im just wanting to know what to expect living there i.e. lifestyle, standard living, prices. Im a 26 year old guy who loves the easy going surfing party lifestyle and plan on moving there with my girlfriend if i can't get a canadian work visa when they eventually get released. Any kind of advice/ info would be much appreciated.

you will need to look at what visa options you can get so that your gf can come with you if that is the idea, wouldn't think people would move to NZ for a party life style
