Hi Sarah
My car has been scratched too. But unfortunately I cannot blame the kids (for once!), but someone who lives in the area! It's been keyed 5 times now and we supposedly live in a good area! :curse:
Hi Rob
I noticed in a previous thread that you shipped your car over and wondering whether to do the same. Our car is 2 years old with 2.5 years of finance left and don't think, with depreciation, that we will have much left in our pocket to buy a car with when we get to NZ.
To make matters worse - its a Subaru Forester! Relatively unusual here but, I hear, quite common in NZ.
Maths is not my strong suit, so any advice would be appreciated!

I drove it all aorund the South Island - but nowhere too lumpy, no ground clearance
Absolutely!
Yeah they are pretty common here so parts and stuff would be no problem.
Unless you really like the car and don't want to part with it I'd say don't ship it. It'll cost around GPB3000 to ship, insure and get it on the road here.

Re: What do people drive!!!
Mitsi Delica. It can drive over the top of a lowered Skoda, and squash it flat
It's covered in mud from the Waimak River, which is a cunning way to disguise it, so the fish can't see it, when I drive to my favourite fishing spot.
Used to have a Mitsi Pajero, but blew up two engines in it in two years. Next vehicle, when funds allow, will probably be a Toyota Landcruiser, or Nissan Safari. Our other car is a Nissan Cefiro, Jappa import, cheap as chips.
