For the unknowing whats the things that stand out as more expensive than the UK?

Really? For 60 NZD you get 14-15 Mb broadband? It can hardly be described as much better than the UK.
For £30 ish I get 10Mb broadband, phone line rental, free weekend calls and a TV package. Even at peak times, I get 8 or 9 Mb/s.
For not a lot more I could get 30Mb and Virgin also offer up to 50Mb. If I was paying £30 ish purely for broadband I'd want a lot faster than 15Mb.
For £30 ish I get 10Mb broadband, phone line rental, free weekend calls and a TV package. Even at peak times, I get 8 or 9 Mb/s.

My bill averages at about £40.
Edited to add: Ryanair are tw@ts but you know what you're getting with them. Example: 3 years ago, it was a local Edinburgh holiday and the lads fancied a day on the piss. Ryanair on the 07:30 flight to Dublin with speedy boarding cost us £22. So , a day of mayhem in Dublin, the 21:00 flight home with time for the chippy and we didn't have to be at the airport until 06:50 in the morning.
