What is cheaper in NZ?

Re: What is cheaper in NZ?
The equivalent here would cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, although there's no fibre optics cables into homes so would be impossible. My Orcon 30gb lasts about a week then it's 3 weeks of data rations.

God I miss my Virgin V+ HD, amazing OnDemand, free ESPN, Unlimited 10meg broadband and telephone line for £30 a month.

There's many companies doing broadband but prices still seems very high, so maybe if sky had a competitor it'd still be a rip off.

No one does unlimited BB in the UK either, as they have lovely 'fair usage' clauses which typically max out at 100Gb which of course is somewhat higher and yes a lot cheaper.
In the U.S some carriers are introducing caps as they cannot keep up with the bandwidth people want and fight on price, it is a telecom industry issue at present.

There is upgrading being done around here at the moment, so maybe soon.
Some of OH,s friends in Hastings are on Slingshot, but their speeds are less than 1/2 of what we get. What sort of speeds do you get?
