An NZ new 2010 Mitsi Outlander 2.4LS for the wife which we've had since we arrived and I'm now driving an NZ new 2007 Mazda CX-7 awd 2.3 turbo (my 3rd car since we've been here....I just like to change often). Also have a 2011 Suzuki GSR 750 toy for them sunny days :-)

I've owned a Honda van thingy and then a Diahatsu jeep for years. It broke down so now I'm driving a 20yr old Mazda Lantis which I bought for $900 with full service history!!! ... it's fab!

I'm not a car person either . It is just something to get from A to B.

We are still driving the vehicle we bought when we arrived here. It is a 20 year old Suzuki Escudo & does us just fine

I don't do cars Bevs, I don't even know how to make the bonnet pop. I am just happy if it starts and gets me to where I want to go ... if it does that I'm elated. My last car was apparently using more oil than petrol so this one is a dream and doesn't cost me any more in fuel than my little jeep

Highly recommend the Mitsubishi Space Wagon ( ie Chariot ). There's a lot of crap ones about but I got a smart 2002 Super Exceed on low miles and it's the best car I've ever owned. GDi motor is great on petrol if run on 98 :-)

See a lot go for Japanese cars but my VW Passat has been superb to run. Bought it December 2011 and have done over 60,000km on it. Still in cracking condition

As it's 1999, I have to have 2 WOFs a year but I just get it serviced as well. Being an old car and someone that don't have a clue on cars, I happily have 2 services at a specialist place (one of the mechanics spent 5 years working for Volkswagen in Germany) - even if it does cost up to $400 - at least the work done is of good quality, and the car is safe.

I'm fortunate that I get a car provided by work but I get what I'm given - a Mazda CX-5, Automatic, Front Wheel Drive, 2.0L, Petrol. So it's short on engine spec, but a comfortable and spacious motor, if a little girly as the Crossover/Compact-SUV's go.

I'd never had a car with Bluetooth capabilities before, so listening to Disney soundtracks isn't all that uncommon these days. C'est la vie.

When out on the open road can do 650+ kms on a (50 litre) tank of fuel. More realistically popping around Auckland City and the North Shore it gives me 450-500 kms.

We did have ownership of a 1.4L Holden Barina until very recently. As my wife is yet to (but very close to) having a license we didn't need two cars and we'd loaned it to the Mum of a friend who decided to buy it - win:win.

Both living close to work, kindy, the city, etc I doubt we'll need another when the wife does pass her test anyway.

Mrs Justcol decided to skip on the Mazda because she saw a cheap crappy car radio/cd player that changes colour while its on
and her reasoning is that because it changes colour its obviously far better than the built in factory unit from Mazda that cant be changed...good grief

It's a Holden, (Opal/Vauxhall) so no problems on parts, my ignition switch failed on me and they had one delivered the next day.

Bought a Toyota Lite Ace Noah (7 seater) 1996 when we arrived, not brill but carries everything from children, to logs to shopping.

Myself I drive a Mazda Demio which sits at the train station most days, runs on an oily rag.
