I'm going to WORK tomorrow! First teaching day in a NZ school - just relief teaching, wish me luck and have the drinks ready for when I get home

It may be just relief teaching but it gets you known and to quote that well worn phrase 'it's who you know....'

Yup think I will. Went to 7 of the local Primary schools on Monday and was rung Tuesday morning by a 'new' school to cover a class but I had already arranged to visit another one where there is a job going. Just sent off the application so fingers crossed - again

I just remember how the class used to play up when it was relief teacher time. Not me, of course, I was a good girl! Still used to see it as an hour 'off' doing any work though

Right, I have 3 weeks full time teaching starting Monday, then 4 days per week until Christmas at another school. If I could just split myself in two I could be doing so much more! Ha, not short of Primary teachers NZ? Yeah right!
Oh and my darling OH is going back down to Auckland next week to help out on The Block NZ TV programme - and getting paid for it!!
