Been reading the news this morning and watching the videos.

Not sure if there are any West Coast members, but hope everyone is safe.

We we're heading out on day one of a road trip holiday.
we were heading to Haast but got turned back at Makarora
The hotel we were booked into in haast has refused to agree to a refund.....very nice of him !!

That's a bit rubbish Col. We're currently discovering Invercargill is shut or being torn down here and there.

Our neighbour and pal is working on the Memorial Track. She got down to the track from our side but cannot now see her husband who is on a farm outside of Wanaka. Stuffs the area ip a bit tbh

what possessed you to put invergiggle on your holiday itinerary

We managed to save our holiday by rerouting through Wanaka, tekapo and some dome of the high country passes

Grabaseat put Invers in the frame. Currently in Te Anau. Binned Queenstown as too much bother.

BtTW. The bridge lost in the West Coast storm will be replaced by a Bailey btidge asap. Gets the road open.
