Arrived!!!

Floods were not a problem for our journey. We nearly got refused to board the plane (3 of us on Kiwi passports with expired UK ones) and they fussed at the UK border but we made it!

We are kind of where Somerset, Devon and Dorset meet so kind of live in all three counties :) And yes, it is beautiful. The colours of the hedgerows and fields are lovely and it feels good to be here, if a bit surreal.

:)

Good landings then . Makes me happy does that. You have a lovely few days starting to settle in and then a really wonderful Christmas and New Year with your families BB.

You deserve all the best of the best IMVHO.

I admire your attitude, your spirit and just who you are. No wonder your kids are great.

That is quite some combo of counties, evoking so many memories all the senses;

Sight - Undulating greenery, playing Golf at any Links course in Devon or Dorset, playing Cricket any where in any of these counties. The colourful houses you pass on the train around Dawlish. The moors.

Touch - The sand beneath my toes at Northam Burrows or at Sidmouth

Smell - Sea air, country air, the food of a mulitude of top restaturants.

Taste - CREAM TEAS!!! At the Cottage Hotel in Hope Cove. The cider. The real ale.

Hearing - The waves, the wildlife, leather on willow, the sound of another beer brewed by the Appledore brewery being poured.

I could go on, but I need to do some work.

God I love the South West.

Glad to hear UK bureaucratic flexibility is alive and well.
Have a very Merry Blighty Christmas - the build up with sparkly trees in windows on dark evenings has been really enjoyable for me.
