We're going to take the plunge!!
Firstly can I say a big hello to everyone involved within the forum it's been lovely reading all of your comments and great advise. We are seriously thinking of emmigrating to New Zealand in approx 2 years time. I am presently a student nurse with just a year to go and my hubby is studying for a degree in IT. We have 2 girls Chloe (12) and Bethany (5) who love the idea of moving to such a beautiful place. It all seems a bit daunting at the mo but hopefully it will be worth it and with the help and info from you guys it will be a doddle, who am I kidding!! All advise with schools, jobs, places to live etc would be freatly appreciated. Many thanks the Taylor family x

Welcome to the forum - have some karma to set you off
I finished my training from York University (started at Raigmore - Inverness) - is that where you are based? I wouldn't imagine so but some of my cohort came from all over so it is possible! What branch are you following?
This forum is generally user friendly so ask your questions and hopefully someone should be able to help

Hi Kirstie
Thanks for the quick reply, it's a bit daunting when you first post a comment but with all the words of advise that I have been reading I'm sure everyone will point us in the right directionIs it expensive to take animals over with you as we have some family pets that I want to take, my hubby has said no but I always get my own way Which part are you looking at? Have you ever been to NZ? God its daunting!!

Hi
I am presently at Bradford Uni, and do most of my placements at Airedale General near Skipton, and with what I have seen so far I do not want to work within the NHS, so I am jumping ship asap.I am presently an adult nurse but wish to do some training within MH so that I can be dual trained!! What about you? Where are you at the mo? Oh and I can feel the karma it might even see me through an assignment that I've been putting off
Kind regards Gaynor x

Re: We're going to take the plunge!!
hi gaynor
the 2 cats we have it is going to cost about £1000 but i could not bare to part with them, and although hubby was not convinced in the beginning but he is ok with the idea now,
we are looking to go to or around Invercargill which is at the bottom of the south island, we have never been before and was going to go on a recce later this year but we have decided at the moment we are just going to go "blind" we go for our medicals next week, and then just have to wait the all the info to come back to us before we finally send everything off. we would like to live semi rural with a bit of land and build our own house if possible.
were are you thinking of heading??

Hi there Gaynor and welcome to this little corner of the cyber world.
We are normally just outside of Nelson, Top of the South Island but are presently sunning ourselves in Bournemouth UK .
I wouldn't have parted with my beloved cats either. We brought them out with us and they have a wonderful life here.
I spose it is all a bit daunting but once you are here, I 'spect you'll find it was all worth it. Plenty of folk here to help and support along the way.
Karma for your assignment
