Wellington - where to find things u miss!

Hi Everyone,

Hello to those of you I've not seen in a while! Drop me a PM and let me know how you're getting along :)

OK, OK, I said I never would, but there's got to be a few things I miss about 'home' I needed a hand from any of you in Wellywood who've found them already! I am missing:-

* An AUTHENTIC curry (not the sloppy soup stuff I'm finding here euk!)
* A british chinese (okay I know what you're thinking, but it's cooked a certain way is British chinese crispy duck lol)
* A country style pub - we've been to Christchurch and Nelson this week and found some lovely country pubs selling Brit ales etc. But where's the ones in Welly (and don't say the Courtenay Arms roflmao)

Oh and my family...has anyone seen them recently? hehe :blink:

Seriously tho, not doing bad if the above's the only thing we're missing eh? :thumbsup: lovin' it really (oh apart from drama's with the removal / insurance firm - yes they're STILL going on before any of you ask - 7 months now lol)

Err where was I....yes, the best curry houses, crispy duck and country pubs in Welly please everyone! :thumbup:

Great India in Manners Street does a good UK style Indian curry.

If you want authentic as in Indian Indian curry....you'll be lucky..

Just out of interest are there any "English Takeaways " in China or India.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Or do they rely on Pommies doing without the roast beef and yorkshire pud on a sunday dinner :o

Why would anybody, apart from the English, want to eat English food?

I'd say it was the dullest food in the world...but then there's always Holland.
