The cafe in the Lady Norwood Rose Garden is excellent though so I always walk down to that one now instead (or short walk if you enter from the Thorndon entrance).
There's also a kiosk/cafe thing just at the top of the cable car which sells take away drinks and ice lollies (ice blocks) etc etc

Agreed - the cafe in the rose garden is excellent - home made pies and everything!

Hey there, I just want to add my thanks for the photos. I've not been on here much lately as I've been busy finishing work and sorting out the big move etc. But it's great to stop for a bit, take a breather and look at some photos of Welly and remind myself why I'm doing it! Even if they are quite random photos - all the better really, give you a wider picture rather than the stereotypical tourist one.

I can't believe I'll be there in under 4 weeks!!!

We are on the terrace right now... we are in a serviced apartment for another 5 weeks until we move into our new home in Whitby.... never noticed this post while still in the UK but its nice seeing the picture of things we are now taking for granted on a day to day basis already, like the buildings on the terrace, the one with the window cleaners Rich has to visit regularly but he works on lambton quay, where i'm at the hospital and yesterday i walked home from there and was a lovely walk even though it took me 50 mins....(tend to dordle and window shop!!!)

They're my random phone pics - I try to put different stuff on here that you might not normally see. Or just ordinary views.
