Its full of Pacific Islanders who tend to be slightly larger than average, also the wharehouse and Kmart seem to do basic clothing in 3xx & 4xx sizes.

Definitely try Kmart and Farmers in Porirua.
Farmers has a surprising good (ok, comparatively) range but it can depend on which store you are in. Which is not very helpful. Farmers in Porirua often has some quite nice shirts and tee shirts.
There is also a store in the arcade off cuba mall. It has good quality larger mens clothes and the man in there is really helpful. It wont be cheap – think $120 for one of those outdoorsy sleeveless Kathmandu vests. But, I know someone who bought one recently and it was definitely worth the money.

Thanks all, i shall check them out at weekend. I tried local farmers in L-Hutt Queensgate, but they only had 3xl, which still seemed a little small.
Think our UK 3xl is probably a 5xl here
If only slimming worked faster! lol

Thats a bit strange that they only had 3XL. Most ranges would come in S-XXL and then 3XL- 6XL. Seems like they had all sold out?!! Bizarre. But it does mean that if you keep an eye on the store they should have a better range in later.
Also, check out Munns on Willis Street/Lambton Quay

Good for you with your weight loss Lee, and keep on going!
A couple of interesting links from google NZ:
Rochester
Peter & James
It's been years since I last lived in England so I don't know what the phrase is used in the UK, so I used the phrase used in the US, "big and tall" to search on.
Best of luck!
