Wellington by June
Hi
we are a family of four - children 6 and 4 - and we plan to arrive in Wellington by June 2011. Can anyone recommend a motel to stay in for the first couple of weeks?
Any tips for suburbs to rent with a short commute to the CBD would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya & welcome to BE, When we arrived 5years in June, we stayed at a lovley homestay.

The owner is fab & we remain good friends, she is a wealth in information & help to all NZ newbies. The private self contained suite downstairs comprises a private bathroom, one queen sized bed in a bedroom and two single beds in the lounge, sleeping four in total. It's very cose to city centre & a great starting place.

What are your priorites for a permanent place to live? Coz you can live quite a way out and still only have a less than an hours commute into the CBD. You could check out the holiday lets on:
