Wellington Comedy Festival
20 April - 10 May
http://www.comedyfestival.co.nz/cfes...val=wellington Any takers on getting a group together to go and see something funny? However, having sat through a dvd of the Flight of the Conchords tv series, am I the only person who doesn't get it or not think they are funny (except I did chuckle at the song - Business Time)? Is this a true reflection of Kiwi comedy? |
Re: Wellington Comedy Festival
Sounds a cool idea but who do you see, I have no idea on kiwi comedians but Ben Hurley looks good.

Well as Ben Hurley is quoted as "One of the most exciting stand-ups on the UK circuit and he's a Kiwi" - IN LONDON MAGAZINE, UK, I guess he must have some materials that make Brits laugh....

Is this a true reflection of Kiwi comedy? I see Auckland seems to be getting the better (and better known) comedians, oh well, I have seen Josie Long and will never go there again, she bombed rather badly, the only other two I've heard of are Arj Barker and Janey Godley... |

Whenever I think of Peter Kay I get the words "GARLIC BREAD" stuck in my head due to one of his sketches. I can't get him out of my generally empty head. Grrr.
