Those gardens are lovely . We spent a really hot afternoon walking around there on our trip to Welly a couple of years ago. It's also the charm of getting on the cable tram ,or whatever it's called, to take you up to the gardens. There is very similar in Bournemouth called cliff lifts.
Not just that, you can also visit the observatory that is near there. All in all, a really rather lovely way to spend a day.

Wow! What beautiful pix! One of them reminds me of the film The Ring, you know, the one which you seem to have taken through a pipe?
