Well... we're in Wellington!
18 hours on 3 planes. I'm knackered. But we're here safe and sound. Logging off now as it costs $0.68 a minute...
Catch you cats later. Boopy knows where we're staying, so you can bother her. We're here for a week, then getting a rental. Uh... hopefully.

Welcome - sorry about the awful weather. It's been like this all week except for Tuesday...hope the landing wasn't too bumpy...not an airport for those who don't like flying I don't think.

Woohoo! Welcome back!
Sorry about the weather - it started raining on Sunday and hasn't really stopped yet.

Maz is staying at the "Copthorne Hotel Plimmer Towers". She's hoping to view some rentals over the weekend.

Glad to hear that you arrived safely. Have a good rest and enjoy the city. If you need anything just call. Hope to meet up on Sunday for coffee?!!

Re: Well... we're in Wellington!
Hey thank you all!
Donna, I left a message earlier.
Boopy, thanks for passing that along. I made a few calls tonight. I hate to see my phone bill from the apartment after calling Richard (DickNLyn on the other site )!!!
What awful weather? If you'd been in the 30C+ weather recently in Chicago, which is supposed to be "Autumn", you'd welcome the cold and the rain too. Besides, that wasn't really rain. That was a bit of drizzle. Now what we had in Auckland while waiting for our final flight, that was rain!
It was gorgeous out in Welly this evening. I walked down to Hell Pizza / Syn Bar with the littl'un and picked up pizzas (surprise!) for us all. I tried very hard not to grin too much when walking along the Friday "rush hour" streets with the Friday "rush hour" traffic woo hoo! It was like Northampton at 3 a.m. on a Sunday morning, practically deserted! Love it!!!
OK I must just finish this petite bouteille de vin (am surprised at the number of French here!) and go to bed. I'm going to snag the other single bed in the littl'un's room - hubby has decided to sleep like a snoring starfish in our bed.
I'll PM a bunch of you tomorrow with my new mobile number.
Nighty-night!
