Hi we are Tina & Will from Cardiff in Wales.
We have two sons Josh 15 and Harri 12 (who hates us at the mo as he does not want to go!) and we are hoping to come to NZ in Jan 2010!!

Cannot come quick enough, we have an ITA and we have everything ready and are going up to London on 18th Aug to submitt, OMG!

Tina is going to be working as a nurse in tauranga, yep got a job, woohooo, just need visas and can then book the plane tickets!

Well its been nice to introduce ourselves to you all and hope we can now have contact with you guys and that you can help us on if stuck with anything???? Talk soon, Tina. x

where are you working now Tina? reason I ask is that our daughter is a dietitian at the Royal Glam & lives in Cardiff......not coming to NZ ....yet!!!one day!!

Hi, thanks for that. I work in the centre of cardiff, around places called slpott, tremorfa, roath etc. I am a district nurse at the moment. Are you already there then??? If so, where are you? I am going to be working for guardian healthcare, now bupa. Hope its a great place to work!!! Cannot wait for us to know if we got a yes we can go, but fingers and toes crossed :fingerscrossed. Look forward to hesaring from you again, where in cardiff does youy daughter live? We live in Rumney.

No, not there yet, hopefully Dec/Jan and will prob end up in BoP area or Northland (love it!!) Husband was born in NZ so I'm applying for family category visa. Daughter lives in Pontcanna at mo, her partner starting with SW Police Sept though so they are planning on moving soon.

I'm also a RGN & RNMH, not planning on doing clinical work in NZ, prob social care but you never know, think Guardian should be ok ...Bupa got a good rep here so for you, keep us posted.

Hi and welcome to BE from me too. We've been in the Tauranga suburb of Papamoa for nearly 2 and a half years and love it. Our kids are 6, 10, 14 & 16 and they seem happier here than the UK by far. Although the older two blow hot and cold - that delightful age!

We are hoping to live in Tauranga too. Our daughter is a Public Health Nurse for the area and loves it. Especially having her lunch in her car facing the Pacific Ocean!! Beats rainy old UK!!!

husband is also! - and are really looking forward to living and working in NZ!
I'm sure the children will need some time to settle - fit in etc.. but i reckon they will start to enjoy it more, when they make some friends and get out and about!! - it must be scary eh? (it is for us too eh?)

Hubby is a nurse too and also has a job in Tauranga, so might bump into one another one day lol, we are hoping to book our flights soon as he is due to start work 7th Sept, but not booking them untill we have visas in our hands lol!!!
