The Weetabix War of 2018

It is with great sadness I announce that an act of sheer mass brutality is to be visited upon 108 boxes of helpless cereal by the so-called New Zealand justice system will end the current Weetabix war. In no uncertain terms I hope you will join me in condemning this heartless destruction and hope this day will be memorialised as the date Sanitarium took the harmonious and pluralistic coexistence of breakfast brands behind the chemical shed. Hopefully the re-branded product will be known as Matyrbix.

Organisations can get away with being second-rate if they have a monopoly - which is a popular approach here.

Don't let me get started on the topic of yeast-based sandwich spreads.

It's so petty, like 100 or so boxes of Weetabix sold from a British expat shop is going to be of any consequence to the sale of Kiwi Weetbix

There surely is room in the market for both because your average Brit brought up on UK Weetabix is unlikely assimilate to the point of willingly accepting Kiwi Weet-Bix as a substitute.

It's pathetic innit.

We had the marmite silliness a few years back.

As if anyone would mistake the sanitarium stuff for the real thing.

Sadly the marmite saga spelt the end for the owner of the British shop here

Family are happily back in the UK now.
