I've seen it and regularly compare the cost of paint etc. I suppose I could use 'you shop'. I do sense that The Warehouse are trying to improve their lines and up their game somewhat.

If I had some capital I'd start importing it.

Re: Wallpaper - $89???
Having just seen a mailer from The Warehouse advertising cheap wall paper, I thought I'd have a browse at some other NZ retailers online. $89.99 + for a single roll of paper - seriously?
Having already taken note of other threads about paint (clearly a luxury lifestyle item), what other home products at insane prices will anger my blood?

Can anyone shed any light on why its so expensive for decorating items...paint...wallpaper?

Google wallpaper direct UK . Sorry I'm typing this on my phone & I can't do the links on this, but it comes up easily on a google search. I haven't used the company myself but a friend has, and they seemed pretty impressed with the service.

I laughed so hard at this that I snorted tea down my nose. I love being British, we laugh through the crap of life.

Actually, I think I will . They are an arm and a leg here and someone is always asking my Mister if he has a spare or can fit a new washer and then blanching at the fact they are not just a few cents.

Do you really want to spend so much money on doing your house up when winter comes round
Just imagine, all the damp in the house where opening windows, using dehumidifiers etc doesn't work, all that damp will ruin your paint, costing you a fortune to replace
That's why, just keep with your damp cold place. No point making changes - it'll just get ruined
