I took an English friend to Wellington airport early this morning during the torrential storm that hit Wellington, I loved the announcement over the tannoy "for those brave enough to fly to Napier, please come to the gate".
She wobbled, tossed, and churned her way to Napier and then spent the afternoon on a coach vineyards' tour, definitely deserved.....
We returned to the Kapiti coast at lunchtime, where it was much sunnier and spent the afternoon at the outdoor pool with the kids - talk about 4 seasons in one day!

The storm kept me awake most of the night! My friends were travelling by ferry from SI to NI this morning in that 160km/h gale - I bet they were a lovely shade of green

More WAIN !!!!!! Back to work tomorrow,at least half of last 3 weeks has been rain,rain and more bloody rain!!! Like being back on the West coast....of Scotland! And more forecast for the rest of the week!! And it's got cold again too.

Forgot to update our yearly wain figure for Central Hawkes Bay
We had 188 wets days!! About 70 above average
& 2 more than Nottingham had (my hometown)
Off to a good start this year though, 0 up to now
