Smile Visiting NZ

Hi,
We are just beginning our journey on the do we or don't we emigrate trail. We are visiting NZ in October to tour both islands and get a feel of the place before making a final decision. Is there anybody here that has any advice on must see places or anyone who has just made the move and would be prepared to meet up for coffee on route?

Hi, welcome to the forum, we might not be over there by then, but make sure you keep us all to date on your trip! I'd love to hear other people's views on NZ when they've never seen it before.

Thanks for your reply. We are starting in Christchurch then down to Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown then playing it by ear before taking the ferry to the north island for another 10 days. We have a map on the wall and just keep adding pins when we hear of somewhere nice to visit. Too many pins too little time.

Take the route from Wellington up via Taupo to Bay of Plenty then follow the coast to the Cormomandel (now thats a place). Then drive back to Auckland from there.

Hi

Look forward to seeing how you get on we hope to move late October / November. If you take lots of pics please post them on the forum so we can all see, as we are going to Christchurch (as we have never been to NZ )

Save your money and use it to help finance your move. You will most likely come back after a holiday and feel very positive. That's the nature of holidays.

It won't give you any in-site into emigrating unless your holiday is for at least e.g. 8 months long.
