Visa application quandry for a friend of mine

Hi - hope someone out there can help.

I have a friend who is american and came over to the UK on a work permit visa around 20 years ago - hasnt applied for british citizenship (just one of those things she never got around to doing).

She has all the sort of skills NZ are crying out for - IT, project management, web development, business analyst.

Her question is - will she be able to apply for PR under SMC (skilled migrant category), or should she apply for one of the other visas.

She is also 43 in a week's time and so conscious of the timescales regarding age.

Should she secure a job offer first?

whether she has american or british citizenship makes no diff to NZ immigration.
If she can get a job offer and qualify under the talent visa category that will prbably be the easiest, otherwise she will have to see if she meets the points criteria for SMC like everyone else.
