Vet fees
 

Hello,

Another question.....sorry !!
I'm not really sure what happens when our dog arrives in NZ. Does a vet inspect her on arrival ? and if so roughly how much do they charge ?

I'm sure there will be many more questions prior to our leaving :o

There are some MAF fees, not sure if they are for vet or other stuff. It didn't seem a lot when we did it 3.5 years ago

I assume you will import your dog from the UK? Link to MAF pages about importing pets from rabies-free countries: http://www.biosecurity.govt.nz/impor...maniic.uke.htm It lists what you must do and what kind of vet certificates you need for your dog. It doesn't list the MAF fees on arrival, but there is a contact us -link on the right hand side of the page that you can use for any inquiries.

Hi there we were invoiced about $85 from MAF for destoying the bedding etc which was in the crates on arrival at Auckland airport. No other charges at that time.
