Default Very pleasant....

Usually fireworks night is wrap up with lots of layers to keep out the chill of early winter........

We went along to the Clevedon fireworks display on friday and being able to sit on the grass in relatively warm weather and watch the fireworks was very pleasant indeed.....despite the odd shower or two of drizzle......

The display was very good and very poplular...there were loads there.

Unfortunately we've seen on the news today that a display we were going to attend yesterday in Howick area had a nasty incident involving injuries at it and hope all are ok and it was nobody from here involved..........

We were going to Clevedon but with the weather we went back to Alexander Park as we went there last year.We were only saying that this year was better as everyone remained seated in chairs etc.We sit well back as the fireworks are quite large but unfortunately mid way thru the formation one rogue firework did not go up enough spun near one side of the crowd hitting the ground still spinning. The show continued in a deathly silence St Johns were on hand quickly.

Our local firework display is this weekend. It was to be last weekend but they had no fireworks.
We went to last years and I must say it really was quite a good display. A bit hap-hazard and we felt people were allowed to stand too close . The bonfire and display happens on the beach here. There are a few little stalls selling burgers etc and some live music. They also have a lolly scramble, treasure hunt in the sand and that sort of stuff.
It's quite a lovely evening .
We used to go to the organised display at Standpit , Christchurch UK. Wonderful display. Really wonderful but it was crowded and parking was a nightmare.

Fireworks in Wellington Harbour looked great last night. I was on the train heading home at 9:00pm last night and the driver slowed the train down before getting into the tunnel then stopped for about 30 seconds. Even just that short time allowed me to look at some really pretty fireworks
