'Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie' springs to mind. Plenty of weaner calves or lambs to rustle :-) What about a few solar panels?

We know who the aggressor is.
Only someone who is deaf, blind & dumb would think otherwise......

"The NATO Founding Act was agreed to between the US and Russia in 1997 in order to provide to Russia’s leader Boris Yeltsin some modicum of assurance that America wouldn’t invade his country. When his predecessor Mikhail Gorbachev had ended the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact military alliance in 1991, the representatives of US President GHW Bush told him that NATO wouldn’t move «one inch to the east» (toward Russia), but as soon as Gorbachev committed himself to end the Cold War, Bush told his agents, regarding what they had all promised to Gorbachev (Bush’s promise which had been conveyed through them), «To hell with that! We prevailed, they didn’t»."

They are all in it together regardless of the posturing.
Their game is not about us ordinary souls.

Exactly my point. They care not a jot about the 'little people' or our welfare, I believe most politicians don't anymore, if indeed they ever did. Too many have hidden agendas, live in ivory towers, are corrupt, self serving etc, thus I no longer vote locally or nationally.

I have no faith that politicians are out to help the greater public. Its not apathy. Its voting with my feet as they say.

Presumably you were blindsided by Brexit too. The phenomenon is the same, and this was predicted by some after the Brexit vote, including me.

Me too - no surprise here. It's only a shock if you rely on the mainstream media for your news.
