Can Anyone Tell Me What The University Fees Are Like In Nz? Here In The Uk They Are Astronomical With Students Taking Years To Repay Debts Which They Have Run Up During Their Time In Uni.

All of the Universities, the ones I've looked at, all state their fees on their websites. :)

My understanding is that uni students in NZ take out a bank loan to cover tuition fees etc and have to repay it later.

In Australia they have a government loan system and repayment is also deferred.

The big question for you is really whether or not there will be a residency requirement to gain access to the lower rate for domestic students, or whether as new migrants you will need to pay the higher international rate.

Any university should be able to answer this for you. Check out this link:

Re: University Fees

new immigrants pay same as NZ born .
only need to have been in NZ for 2 years to get student allowance but no minimum time in Nz for loan.
Easier to get loan than in Oz.
