Ok so we are sorting all of our documents for when we arrive in NZ and I was wondering if collectively we could put together a comprehensive list of what people will need once you get to NZ.

I.e Visas, bank account statements etc etc.

OK here goes if i can remember what we had -
In the suitcase - 6mths records for banks statements, credit cards, mortgage payments, original policy docs for pensions, endowments etc, birth/marriage certs, drivers licences.
In the container - 2yrs+ for the above statements and details of all accounts raided and closed for the move!! basically as much as possible to show financial history.
However, no financial info has been asked for by our bank when we came to sort our mortgage here, but better to have it in case.
I'm sure there's maybe more but i can't remember - not good as it was only 3 mths ago!!!

We also got doctors to print off medical history for us as well as kids. Doctors here have difficulty getting records from UK.

OOohh some good ones here all round thanks!

Just a quick "tip of the day": if you want multiple passport photos, take a digital photograph of yourself and then if you have the facilities, put multiples (about 6) on a photograph sized file on the computer then take it to somewhere like Boots on your memory card or a cd and get a few printed off. It costs about 20p a time and you can get 6 on a sheet!
