UK tax advice please
When we left the UK in May 2013 we completed a P85 to inform Hmrc that we had left the UK, we heard nothing.
Last month we rung them as we realised hubby's pension was still being taxed. Hmrc confirmed that they received the P85 forms but nothing is done with them, they just get filed
We now have to complete a form for double tax so that we can claim back the tax paid. Does anyone know if this will stop the tax being taken, or is there something else to be done.
Thanks in advance

These forms are not on line submissable but can be downloaded from HMRC site. The pension amounts should not be entered on the yearly self assessment for. Are you sure that NZ IRD know that you are a NZ resident? Have you completed
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/cnr/nz_indiv.pdf which goes to NZ Inland Revenue for approval prior to being sent to HMRC .

Yes no problem, the forms sound worse than they are and info that HMRC don't help with. Any questions filling them out just give me a shout Just remember on the yearly Self Assessment form do not enter pension amounts received leave blank.(as directed by HMRC)
