Default UK Pension Transfers

Has anyone recently transferred their UK pension to NZ? If so, who did you use to do it and was it a difficult and expensive (commission/ongoing fees etc). We've been looking at this for some while now and keep swinging between transferring and not! Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

I'm not affiliated in any way but our own chc4me is a transfer specialist . He doesn't toot his horn to tout for business but has been very kind to lots of people over assorted pension puzzles.
He has helped people that haven't even transferred with him .

Perhaps have a chat with him to see if he would suit you. Dai Eveleigh

I have to support this post. We are currently working with chc4me to actually transfer our UK pensions. He has been incredibly helpful to help us through what is a mind boggling process. I can generally hold my own, but when it comes to pensions my mind appears to mist over and I go to another place.......

p.s. also not affiliated in any way, just our experience to-date.

Thanks for this. We have already had some excellent help from Chc4me, he has been brilliant at explaining things in terms we can understand. I wasn't sure about the feasibility of using someone not local to us. Can this be done via email/post etc?

Yep. We're Cambridge

Post, email, ...and with conversations on Skype

Again, just to let you know that this is new to us so my recommend is based purely on discussions to-date. We have no experience of their actual management of our portfolio as of yet

Definitely.

We've been here hundreds of years and so moved our pensions across before we knew of Chc4me. There was no-one in the Nelson and Bays area so we had to choose someone from one of the main cities.
