yep we are arriving on the 30th december woo hoo. Myself, the wife, and the boy.
We are new to the forum. Morning all.
We are looking for information on good restaurants in and around the viaduct basin, Auckland, for new years eve, Id also like some info on over 35's football in auckland if possible - ive read abit on the t'interweb but local knowledge would be helpful (the wife has told me I should play within my limits !!! whatever that means )
if anyone has any advice, tips, information, particularly for the new year it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, my first post to. We arrive in Auckland on the 6th December. Myself, Laura, Jade, Bradley and Faye. Got in on a Long Term Business Visa and looking forward to living and working in and around Auckland, as well as meeting up with some fellow new arrivals

Hello to all arriving in Dec...
I posted in the November arrivals, but feel a bit of a fraud as we don't land till Dec! (depart Heathrow 30th Nov)
Anyway, my wife Hannah (33 today!) Madison my 2 yr old daughter and I - Alan (36) Are going to live in Glenview area of Hamilton.
We can't wait, albeit I'll miss my family heaps. Hannah's a Kiwi so I've had a while to get used to coming here.
Any musicians around?

My daughter and I leave UK on 8 December and arrive on 10th. Can't wait. Especially as my husband is already there, enjoying what he tells me is warmth and sunshine!!!

We're going to be based in Hamilton. That's my wife, 2 year old daughter and I.
We too have a weekend retreat not too far away at Coromandel! I never thought I'd ever be called an expat, but, I'm kind of getting used to it already lol.
I really can't wait to leave London/Essex behind.
Especially this evening some dork behind the wheels of a cement mixer lorry decided to side swipe the hire car we'd hired moments earlier, for a family wedding we're supposed to be travelling to tomorrow in Doncaster. Thankfully my daughter wasn't in the car, just my sister and I but it really shook us both up.
Oh well, rant over.

Me & the other half flying out of Heathrow 28th December into Auckland 30th December & on to Porirua/Kapiti coast.
Got passports back yesterday, booked flights last night. Dog is booked onto a flight too, just got to sort out which removal firm to use, car to get ready & shipped & house rented out, plus loads of other stuff to sort out. Going to be a mad few weeks.

Yep...we arrive on new years eve! Still loads to do but can't wait to leave the uk. Will miss family dreadfully though
