Default Uk Electrical Goods

Hi

Can electrical goods from uk be used in NZ? I know the plugs are different but is there any other issues?
I'm thinking TV , Xbox , PS4 , fridge , white goods

Yeah all good.
As you say it's just a plug top problem as the travel adapters are crap for long term use although many still use them for UK devices with UK transformer plug tops, like Christmas tree lights etc as these can't be changed. I've just slowly chopped the UK plug top off and replaced with a cheap NZ one. You can buy them in the supermarket (Countdown) for $3.49 each.
A good idea is to bring a few UK multi way extensions so you only need to change the plug on that multi way and plug your UK stuff in to it - e.g. the TV, Xbox, DVD player as they're all usually together anyway.

You may need to buy an NZ Freeview set top box as the built-in Freeview tuner won't work IIRC - or if you intend to have Sky (or satellite Freeview), it won't matter as it will use HDMI to the tv.

Yes but:
Sky in NZ is a different company/satellite/technology to UK Sky but there is the UK TV channel on it.
Yes Netflix works but you get NZ content unless you sbscribe to a proxy service so it may or may not have some particular content you see in th UK. No idea about Firestick content.

Sky here is nowhere near as good as UK Sky either. Also, if your tv is smart, check with your manufacturer whether it'll work in NZ (You should just be able to reset and change country to NZ).
DVD's are region 4 here too so they won't work in your dvd player unless it's unlocked, same as your region 2 dvd's won't work in a NZ player either. Not sure about playstation /xbox though, i'm sure someone else will answer that one.
