Default UK Class 1 to NZ Class 5

So assuming you have the full UK HGV Class 1 how would you go about getting the equivalent in NZ? Or would it count for nothing so would have to take it all over again

Simple, study the road code for Heavy Vehicles (you will need to study it as the test covers ? on distances, weights etc. Get a medical from a local Kiwi doctor pop down to the AA shop and fill in the form and do the test. (you need proof of your address (bank statement or a bill) and your passport)

I believe they are doing away with the test for uk people soon but I don't know if this covers Heavy Goods (called heavy trade here) or not,
