Hi Sarah,
My Mum's due to fly out on the 7th too; it's her first visit, and the children have been really excited (they are counting down the days too!). Finger's crossed the strike comes to nothing.

In today's paper they said they (the airlines) chose this date as not to upset the Christmas travellers!:curse:

I hope they call it off and you all get your visitors/flights.

the last time b.a had a strike over the food makers thingy ..... they just flew everybody out on a catch up and geT them out type of thing ...people were all over the airport waiting to ... you might think about try to move forward the flight so as to get out before they strike .... hope this helps

Sky News have just confirmed that the 7th January date has been called off and they will be negotiating the further strikes to be called off. More negotiations on the 3rd January. It’s looking hopeful - thankfully…..
