The people are lovely - had a lovely picnic with several other friendly folk from the uk and ireland this afternoon - The weather is fab - the accommodation is great and the kids are being as good as gold. life is sweeeeet
good luck with the flight, try not to go too much over your weight limit - we were 20kgs over
Take care xx

Re: UK 2 NZ Jan 2010!!
Thanks Psychopandy
Will try and do that. We had all of our goods collected yesterday and it was sad to leave our now empty house. We left the island where we live this morning by boat and are now staying the the UK with my Mum until we get our flights on Monday.
I am not sure how we are going to cope with those long flights as we are exhausted after trying to get our affairs in order before we left - lots of 2am bedtimes over the last week!
We are really looking forward to arriving in NZ. I think buying a car is early on our list of things to do, although just a cheap runaround to get us going is what we are after.

I expect you are on the plane by now and at least then you will be able to rest for a while and sleep maybe - just so you know - we are thinking of you and sending good wishes your way x

I feel I am jumping the gun as you are only on Jan/Feb but I can't resist getting involved!
We were meant to be Jan but with the MA delays it is looking as though it will be June now (and thats if we are successful )!
Still, when you convert it into weeks it doesn't seem like too far away - approx 20 weeks!
So excited for all of you who are making the journey this/next month, can't wait to be in that position!
Just wanted to say "safe journey y'all & hopefully see you over in the land of the long white cloud very soon"!!!

Hi
Forgot to mention the dog, Phoebie, is flying out on 28th Jan!
Wish her luck, I am more worried about the dog than me!
Good luck again to everyone else.
