Turning the big "30" tomorrow. First BD in NZ
Hi all,
Yes I am still around ~ Lurking and not posting though, as I am pretty much settled and working now yay!
Anywho, I am turning 30 tomorrow (And it's also my first birthday in NZ), and have been trying to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone. I have finally decided that instead of one big blowout 30's party, I will instead have a year of good times.
30 things to do while I am 30!
Or around 30 things Who thinks I should do what during the year?
I'm taking all suggestions as I have no idea myself! lol I want do some things that I would not ordinarially think of or consider doing!
Give me your best (and reasonably sensible) shots! I'll post the completed list when I know what it is! lol
Thanx all

Gizmo, you're still a youngster . I remember 30, it was a great age to be. Though if I had the choice I'd stay at being 32 forever. I liked being 32.
Anyways, enough of me! Loads of things you can do over the next year.
The Sky Walk around the Sky Tower & why not combine it with the Bungy-type jump as well.
Plenty of places in NZ just waiting for you to hurl yourself into the abyss if you so wish. Queenstown bungy jump for example. Personally I'd rather stick pins in my eyes!
The Huka jet ride is good fun, at Huka Falls just outside Taupo.
Zorbing in Rotorua
Kayak from Puhoi to Maharangi Regional Park
Lots to do in Rotorua & Taupo.
Walk the Tongariro Crossing
How's that for starters?
Happy Birthday for tomorrow

Take a heli-tramp tour onto one of the SI glaciers.
Go swimming with dolphins.
Spend a weekend on Stewart Island
And from my bucket list (cos I passed 30 years ago ):
Snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef
Visit Uluru
Visit the active volcano on Tanna, Vanuatu

Ok heres a few to think about...
1. Learn to surf, I did it for my 22nd in Sydney, ermmm 10 years ago and can't wait to live near the beach.. Tynemouth twice a year ain't quite the same.
2. Go diving... or snorkelling, never tried diving but snorkelling gives you a glimpse, its a different world, Great barrier reef - words cannot describe it.
3. Cage dive - sharks
4. Skydive ....
5. Get a few mates together and go camping, tramping, mountain biking, fishing.... plenty to see/do/explore.
6. Kayaking... Abel Tasman looks amazing but then so do so many places in your back yard.
7. Rugby world cup, get out there and go to a game... you never know.
8. Snowboarding/skiing
9. Quad biking
10. Climbing
11. Horse riding trail... did this in Oz, not the comfiest thing to do, got a bit out of hand when I was hanging on sideways but I live to tell the tale and look back with good memories...
12. Had a quick look online and found a site listing 182 things to do in NZ, it'd be some birthday hey....http://www.viator.com/New-Zealand/d2...f=02&aid=g2993
Happy 30th Gizmo, have a good'n

Belated Happy Birthday Gizmo
Most of the things I would suggest have already been mentioned. And I'm not feeling very imaginative today either

Now that he is sobered up after the party
Thanks for the thoughts and wishes guys & gals. Some things I plan to do, some maybe not. Not too sure.
I'll let you all know what I decide my list is in a few days (Hopefully).
