Tropical Cyclone Wilma

Not sure how many of you this is likely to affect, but there are bound to be a few.
TC Wilma is a nasty looking creature and is exepcted to menace the north of the North Island over the next few days http://www.weatherwatch.co.nz/ From high seas, severe gales and heavy rain, some parts of the upper North Island will be in for a rough 24 to 36 hours, while nearby regions will be completely spared, as the strong but small cyclone zips by on Saturday. http://www.goes.noaa.gov/sohemi/sohe...hirgmscol.html |

Re: Tropical Cyclone Wilma
Can´t you just sense the Thundercat racers getting ready
From the wind maps then it could get nasty or not depending on slight variations in the track it takes as Wilma is small but strong(ish) still..... |

What are the airline (Air NZ?) saying? |
Re: Tropical Cyclone Wilma
They've tried Air New Zealand last night and this morning but can't get through. They've decided to head to the airport around 6/7pm and take it from there. They're staying with relatives so worst come to the worst, they can easily stay a few days longer and escape the cold (which I think rather appeals to them!)
