Default Re: travellers cheques

I did bring travelers cheques, cash and my atm card which I could use!!!

The exchange rate is low at the moment compared to the 2.65 we had 1 year ago, buy from M&S it was the best deal when we looked and relatives still use it. and don't carry more than $10,000 cash each. Customs has set that limit on bringing cash into the country - if you are that lucky that is.

travelers cheques are very easy to cash at any high street bank and most motels have safes in your room too.

Hi,
We used stirling cheques, we also got the best price from M&S

We cashed them in various banks in New Zealand, shop around, when we were there the best rate was at ASB Bank.

I was suprised on how easy it was, every place we went to there was usually a choice of 3 or 4 banks.

We used our debit card twice, you usually have a choice to sign or use your pin no.

Regards
Karen

PS sorry for delay in emailing accommodation details, we are in the process of moving house. We sold house just before to went over.
