Travel Insurance type?
Hi - looking at booking our travel insurance but a bit confused.com!
We leave on 17th June, are in LA/Vegas for 3 days then onto Auckland arriving on 21st June.
Would this class as single trip worldwide travel?
Is this what others have done, just booked it for the travel period?
We plan on staying with parents for a week then travelling NZ for a month, would it therefore be worth booking an annual multi-trip policy (again worldwide) and then we would be covered for this too? Or would we have to book cover from an NZ insurer for domestic travel?
Thanks in advance

Re: Travel Insurance type?
Check out the UK postoffice. They offer one-way insurance that covers the first few days (upto 17 days I think) when you get to NZ plus any stopovers.
We used them to cover us when we came via Disneyland California. If you're coming via the US you will need insurance. There are other companies that offer one-way emigration insurance, but I can't remember who they are now, you'll need to do a google search.
Read the small print of any policy and have a great trip!

We did same as previous poster...used the Post office for one way travel & cover for 17 days in NZ (approx£100) did over the phone as couldn't do on web. When that ran out took out AA cover for belongings, car etc in NZ. Annual travel could be an alternative but will only cover you for 31 or 45 days if returning to uk, although there are some who cover you for longer...can't remember all compnies but if you google travel ins abroad or one way travel ins you should find them. Just taken out single trip cover for journey home with 1cover.co.nz $158 for 12 days cover.
