Travel Insurance (non-resident)
 

Hi,

I am a non-resident of New Zealand (WHV currently). Im going to Singapore for a week in September and looking to get Travel Insurance. The problem im having is that because im not a resident i cant get travel insurance?

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Won't the insurance policy I assume you've got at the moment to cover you for your WHV trip to NZ cover trips to other countries as well?

I havent got insurance at the moment, mostly because im not travelling and waiting for my Work to Residency to be finalized.

Im only really needing the Healthcare part for Singapore rather than personal items incase anything happens and end up in Hospital

I'm pretty sure a friend of mine was in the same situation and you can get insurance but its pricey. Try and give STA Travel a call - think that's who arranged it for my mate.
