Default Travel Insurance????

Am sure this has been asked a zillion times before but do you think I can find it?

We leave UK in 4 weeks ( ) and will only have one-way tickets but does anyone know if we need travel insurance.

Any advice gratefully received xxx

mmm...you might find that some policies dont cover emigration as opposed to a true holiday - check the fine print, we took out one-way cover with a specialist brokerage, as I recall I spoke to Letton Percival (they do the best value container insurance) who directed me to the other company......not too expensive in the scheme of things, I think it was about £100 (?) for a month's cover (2 adults, 2 kids) including medical. If you have PR then the medical costs are reduced and so you might not need as much in the way of cover, ours came through about 5 weeks after we arrived. Good luck.
