Help me pleeease, I am going insane!

My husband and I are travelling to NZ on a working holiday visa but intend to turn that into PR once we have secured a job offer! We are shipping our belongings and see it as a permanent move, we have just taken the quick route to getting there. So...... do we need to have travel insurance to cover us while we are there until we gain PR - say a year to begin with - as we are officially "on holiday", or can we just cover our travel there and then set up health insurance etc as though we are resident as we will see ourselves as that!

Any help would be just GREAT, pleeease, I swear my head is going to explode very soon!

Or do a google search for working holiday insurance

They include gap year insurance on this site too

you could try checking out the life insurance you took out with your house purchase (if applicable) - see if they cover you being away from home for a long period.
also if you take our various credit card insurances they sometimes offer your additional services similar to those of travel insurance
