we used ASB and they were fantastic with us...opened our account from the UK and transfered funds over,walked into the ASB when we arrived and picked up eftpos cards there and then,even gave us credit card with no hassles..and arranged car and life insurance for us...fantastic bank,we even socialise now with our bank manager,which we would never have done in the UK...they cant do enough for you...hope this helps...Jacky

Hi there i have been with the ASB bank for years with both business and personally and my bank manager is always saying so when are you next in town we must meet up for a coffee lol you cant get better than that aye.

Honestly though i have built up a relationship with them over the years and i never go into the bank now even if i wanted to transfer money to my son in the UK i did it by email......

You'll probably get a better rate with one of the forex specialist like HiFx, and it's certainly worth it if you're changing a reasonable amount as the extra is better in your pocket.
