Hi Slacky-uk, do you have any more info on joining NZ police. My husband has an interview next month in London, but after looking at the messages on this web site re:cost of living we are not so sure now.

Sorry I am afraid I don't have any more info. We have put this on hold for a year due to illness in the family and equally importantly I am not totally convinced the grass will be greener. The possiblilties are that there could be poorer housing, reduction in rank, questions over whether I would be financially better off & as I work in a pretty decent part of the country I could find myself in a much less desirable location (short to medium term admittedly).
