Trademe account holders - please.
 

Hi, we are looking at an apartment on Trademe to rent, unfortunately I cannot get in touch with the agent/owner as I'm not listed on Trademe and you have to have a NZ address to sign up.

Could someone please pm me and I'll give you my email address to forward onto them if you don't mind?

Trademe have suspended my account as I'm not livng in NZ or Ozz, they must pick upon your IP address as I used an address in Auckland to sign up.

All cool.

I just sent them an honest email telling them that we are overseas, looking for rentals and wanting to get in touch with various landlords etc, etc.

Got a nice reply saying "No problem, your account is reactivated, good luck with the house hunting!", great!

We can't buy or sell anything at the minute but that's not why we registered so it suits us down to the ground.

I emailed them explaining my situation - same as you
and they told me in a very firm way NO i cant activate my account!
