Time off over New Year
With my employer we get the 1st of Jan and the 2nd of Jan off. Is this normal, or are they just being generous? :)

Re: Time off over New Year
Thanks all. :) I think it's a great idea, very practical, and am glad to know it's nationwide. Just couldn't find reference to it being a statutory holiday, so ta. :)

New Year's Day and the 2nd of January are statutory holidays. You should also be getting 21 January off as that's Wellington's anniversary day.
