Default Time frame for residence 'stamp'??

I've sent my passport back to the NZ immigration after my residency application was accepted (within six months - for anyone interested!). Does anyone know how long it'll take to get it back again?

Thanks in advance

Nikki

A`week at the most I would think. That's the way it played for us after our ITA was approved and we sent in the passports along with the migrant levies.

Thanks Happynz for the reply. Its been a week now and I keep checking the bank to see if they cheque has gone, but it hasn't. Hopefully it won't take much longer. I didn't see anything on the site about the time frame and hoped it wouldn't be something like three months or something crazy like that! I have a work permit at the moment, so I'm not sure whether I should tick 'resident' or 'work permit' on forms. I guess it doesn't matter too much.

We were in Oz when we heard we'd been approved, and had to send our passports back to the UK, to be stamped and then forwarded back to our Oz address ... whole process took 14 days, so should be considerably less for you given that you can discount airmail etc.

Congras btw

Hi

I sent mine in at the beginning of July and I got it back about 4 weeks ago so about 3 months !! We had a standing joke that I was in the lick and stick queue! I phoned several times and they said it was waiting to be stamped ! how many of them could you do in a day!! I was amazed . Hopefully yours will be back quicker than that , I am usually the one who has to wait a while either that or something goes wrong

Cheers Karen
