Things I can do in NZ that I can't do anywhere else
Last night went to see Sir Ian McKellan at the Q in Auckland, a fundraiser for a theatre in Chch badly damaged in the earthquake. It was so brilliant and made lots of my buddies in the UK, especially LOTR fans v jealous. It is moments like that I love living in NZ.
oh, and I officially love him!

I remember seeing him do one-man shows in London (NT I think) as HIV fundraisers in the 80s and he was brilliant. Could just carry the stage entirely by himself for hours. A rare talent.

I don't get it, 'Serena' is a luvvie, what's to be jealous about? Does he not do charity gigs, fundraisers, tour schools and perform on stage anywhere else in the world?
