Is there any meets in NZ for ex pats ever?
I was just wondering if there are ever any meetings for ex pats at all in New Zealand and if so where? I know everywhere is all dotted about but would be good to know :thumb up:

Most areas has some form of newcomers group.

If you are going to an area that has members in I am sure that they are more than happy to met up. I have done many meets for the Kapiti area.

Check out facebook as well. There is a group in Chch called New Kiwi's, so I'm sure there will be similar out there for where you are...

Whenever there's sufficient people asking for it.
Not done a meet for maybe 6 months as there hasn't been any newbies arriving in Tauranga that I've known about.
Very good friends with the last couple of families that were in touch via the forums and there's another family arriving in 1 week who we've been helping out over the past few months.
I'm happy to arrange another coffee brunch or lunch meet soon when I get the time (building a house so time is precious at the moment).

Cool. 3 or 5 I can never remember and changes depending on the forum.
Met a new expat family today who've just arrived in Tauranga so will try get my arse in gear and set up a meet up very soon.
Just a note to all that do want to attend.....
You need to keep checking back on the forum for the meet up thread and/or make sure your notifications are set up to send you an email.
Can't tell you how many members have missed out in the past because they didn't even know about it.
